Manager looking for capital gain when he takes Valiants to Dons

A TRIP to AFC Wimbledon tomorrow is Port Vale's latest obstacle and manager Darren Moore is keen to keep the momentum going.

A draw against Northampton Town last weekend in League One was followed by a Vertu Trophy win in midweek at Accrington Stanley.

Now comes a chance to extend the unbeaten sequence in the league to five matches and Moore is relishing the task even though games are coming around quickly.

“It’s the football season and that’s how it can work,” he said in the pre-match press conference.

“Sometimes you have a one-game week and then what I call a three-game week. We have had to travel in the week and of course we now have the one down in London which we have prepared for.
