Victim bitten on forearm as he tried to fight off assault
A 27-YEAR-OLD man battered his boyfriend.
Wayne Carroll punched his partner to the face, bit him and strangled him.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard the ordeal only came to an end when a delivery driver knocked on the door.
Now Carroll, of Willow Close, Kidsgrove, has been handed a suspended prison sentence.
Maria Brannan, prosecuting, told the court: "Prior to these offences they had been living in the house together for two weeks.
"The defendant is a binge drinker who becomes aggressive when in drink.
