48-year-old put knife to partner's throat

AN 'out-of-control' boyfriend has been told to change his ways after cornering his partner with two knives.

Wayne Harding beat his victim and threatened her with the blades during the terrifying incident.

The 48-year-old was arrested after concerned neighbours raised the alarm on March 18 last year.

He then continued to cause criminal damage by painting a police van and his jail cell in blood.

Prosecutor Charlotte Morgan told North Staffordshire Justice Centre: "The victim in this case was Mr Harding's partner. She was unsupportive of this prosecution and did not provide a statement. However, her initial account of the offence could be gained through the bodycam footage.
