Lello keeps cool to see his side home by narrow margin

WEDGWOOD held their nerve to pocket a one-wicket win at home against Meakins seconds in NSSCL Division Two.

Hosts Wedgwood were set 134 for victory but were made to work hard for the points after Tas Hussain helped himself to 5-26.
But it was Wedgwood who prevailed as Aaron Tymczuk top-scored with 44 and Ade Lello kept his composure to compile 42 not out see them over the line.
Earlier in the day, Tariq Mughal’s half-century was the outstanding performance in Meakins’ 133 all out.
Mughal hit six fours and three sixes in his 58, with Shafique Hussain (22) and Simon Baker (18) also making starts.
Lello, Tymczuk, Tom Smith, Daniel Ray and Usman Saleem shared the bowling honours for Wedgwood.
Crewe cruised to the points in their home meeting against Elworth seconds.
Lewis Bacon's 58, which contained five fours and one six, was backed up by Nathan Twidell (38), Rory Kalnins (29) and Ollie Jarvis (28) as Crewe reached 235-8 from their allocation, Andrew Zajac claimed 4-22.
Sam Baldwin (29) and Jonny Chambers (20) were the only Elworth batsmen to make starts in reply.
