'It's now a pressure situation for Stoke'

It was certainly a tale of two cities in last weekend's game against Hull - at least that's how I termed it in my notes!

- By Mike Pejic

That first-half performance from Stoke was exciting, flowing, had momentum and there was plenty of variety in our play.

We had the three midfield players who all understood the roles expected of them.

Ben Pearson was sitting, Seko was sitting and pushing on, while Junho linked up with Robert Bozenik up front.

And then there were the two wide men - Sorba Thomas and Million Manhoef who were in good form with the fullbacks also playing their part.

Stoke's good play started from the front, with Bozenik understanding his role and pressing high to win back possession.

The Potters then sprung forward from there and launched lots of counter attacks.

We were seeing everything that we want to - looking forward and playing forward.

I was particularly impressed with Bozenik, who occupied the two Hull centre-backs superbly and knew what was needed.

And then out wide, Thomas and Manhoef, did what I like to see, they cut inside and found pockets of space to play.

Hull didn't know what to do and found it hard to stop what we were doing.
