It's harvest time for Barley as they put Potters Bar to the sword in cup encounter

Sam Jude was among the scorers as Barley Mow cruised into the next round of the Staffs FA TB Williamson Cup.

Mow stormed into the fourth round of the Staffordshire FA TB Williamson Cup with a 12-1 thumping of Potters Bar.Brandon Rafferty was the standout performer, finding the net four times ina superb individual display.

Not far behind, Kieran Ball also impressed with a clinical hat-trick, causing constant problems for the Potters Bar defence.

Toby Bracegirdle and Brandon Hopkins added their names to the scoresheet, while further goals from Thomas Barnes, Sam Jude and Tom Tudor rounded off an emphatic win.

Stoke Town Shamblers won 5-1 at Vale Hoppers in the third round of the Tatters Trophy.

The visitors made a dream start, taking the lead inside the opening five minutes when Mat Guest finished smartly to put Shamblers in front.

However, the advantage didn’t last long. A misjudged header back towards the Shamblers’ goalkeeper ended up in the net, gifting Hoppers an equaliser and bringing the tie back to level terms.

Despite the setback, Shamblers regrouped and restored their lead just before the interval, Joe Birks rising well to power home a header and send his side in at halftime ahead.

The second half saw Shamblers take full control of the contest. Aaron Taft extended the lead with acomposed finish, slotting the ball past the keeper after a neat move.

Birks then added his second of the game to tighten Shamblers’ grip, before Guest also doubled his tally with a clever chip over the advancing goalkeeper, sealing a well-deserved victory.

FC Lambourne secured their place in the Sentinel Sunday Cup quarterfinals with a comfortable victory over their Reserve side, showcasing their attacking strength in an assured performance.
