Hundreds backing calls for inquiry into city grooming gangs

HUNDREDS of people are backing calls for an inquiry into child sexual exploitation in Stoke-on-Trent.

Former Stoke-on-Trent North MP Jonathan Gullis has launched a petition calling for Stoke-on-Trent City Council to commission an independent inquiry into 'the existence and handling of grooming gangs and child sexual exploitation' in the Potteries.

So far, more than 500 people have signed the e-petition in the city council's website, just five days after it was launched.
