Humphreys wants cup success to be springboard for Valiants

CAMERON Humphreys is hoping Port Vale can earn a first league win in five attempts, at Bolton Wanderers, tomorrow.

The 27-year-old centre-back returned to League One action against Stockport County last time out having missed the draw at AFC Wimbledon and the defeat at Wigan Athletic through injury.
The former Manchester City youth and Rotherham defender has impressed so far this term while looking cultured in the middle of Vale’s defence.
But he wants to be back on the winning team in League One and the last time that happened was on September 27 at Barnsley.
Two draws and two defeats for the team have followed and Vale are looking to put that right.
Beating Maldon by four goals helped.
