Developers unveil vision for former library, baths and drill hall
THREE of Stoke-on-Trent's most historic buildings will be transformed into flats, a rooftop bar and restaurant - if multi-million pound plans are given the go-ahead.
Developers want to create 39 apartments - along with a pub, restaurant, community space and swimming pool - at the former Tunstall Library, Baths and Drill Hall.
Tunstall Library Developments Ltd is behind the scheme, which has been allocated £3.5 million from Stoke-on-Trent City Council's Levelling Up Fund.
Now it is seeking planning permission and listed building consent to carry out the work.
Plans state the proposal is a 'unique opportunity to deliver a sensitive and viable regeneration project that revitalises a significant heritage site at the heart of Tunstall.'
