Hancock looking for Vale's transfer work to net points

MATT Hancock admitted he is more than happy the transfer window is closed and Port Vale can now focus on winning matches.

The club's chief executive officer has worked tirelessly in the past few months alongside manager Darren Moore and the recruitment team.

Now he has reflected on the recruitment of 12 new players.

Speaking to Port Vale TV he said: "It's been a busy few months and it’s great to see the work the staff have put in and those plans coming to life.

"We've executed it almost perfectly from our point of view.

"We've brought 12 players in which is no mean feat anyway but we've looked at the trend of trying to concentrate on permanent signings while absolutely making sure we maximise loans where we can.

"We feel like we've ended the window in a really positive place to move forward in the next few weeks and months."
