Griffiths spins Nantwich to impressive win on the road
The Sentinel
|June 19, 2025
NANTWICH'S resurgence continued with a 20-run victory over Alderley Edge in the Cheshire County League Premier Division.

The Dabbers had made a slow start to their title defence, but have now managed to move up to fourth in the standings.
And their latest success came in a low-scoring encounter at Alderley Edge.
Nantwich took first use on their road trip, but were dismissed for 131.
Jason Foulkes top-scored with an unbeaten 30, with Spencer Byatt (25), Ali Chughtai (12) and Ollie Griffiths (11) all making starts.
Will Valentine picked up 4-24 for the home side, with George Valentine lending support with 3-65.
There were also a couple of scalps for Angus McKenzie.
That low-looking total proved to be enough for Nantwich, though, as their bowlers came to the fore.
Spinner Griffiths helped himself to 5-12 and skipper Ray Doyle chipped in with 3-46 to leave Alderley Edge all out for 111.
