Greenhoffs show their quality to secure thrilling Premier success

Matt Rhead gave the hosts the perfect start, calmly slotting home to put Furlong 1-0 ahead.

Greenhoffs hit back quickly when a dangerous ball into the box caused confusion, eventually deflecting in off a Furlong defender to level the score.

Despite being under pressure, Tom Parkes restored Furlong’s advantage with a tidy finish against the run of play.

But Greenhoffs weren't deterred - they shifted up a gear and turned the game on its head with two quickfire goals from Jordan Flattely, followed by a clinical strike from Kofi Pollard to make it 4-2 at halftime.

Furlong came out brightly after the restart, reducing the deficit through Sam Arnold to set up a tense second half.

However, Greenhoffs managed the game well from there, holding firm to secure a hard-fought 4-3 victory.

Wood Lane finally got their first win of the season in emphatic style, brushing aside Norton Grange.

Goals came from all over the pitch, with Callum Middleton, Ash Humpage, Dan Lancett, Cameron Griffiths, Billy Middleton and Mitch Blaise all finding the net.

Men Unite also kept up the pressure at the top with a comfortable win away at Roebuck.

Mark Groom, Louis Merceica, Joe Price and Taylor Coulson all got themselves on the scoresheet as Unite closed the gap on leaders Lambourne to just three points.

In Division One, Vale Hoppers secured their first victory of the campaign with a hard-earned triumph over Stoke Town Shamblers.

The Shamblers started brightly, putting Hoppers under early pressure, but both sides were guilty of wasting chances during a scrappy opening spell.

The breakthrough eventually came when the Shamblers failed to deal with a loose ball in their own area. Louie Smith pounced, firing a low strike past the keeper to give Hoppers the lead.
