'Gloriously messy' farewell to 'effortlessly cool' Flick

Tributes paid at cancer blogger's funeral
SCORES of well-wishers gathered for the 'gloriously messy' funeral of an 'effortlessly cool' woman who has died aged just 48.
Felicity 'Flick' Rackstraw passed away at her home in Alsagers Bank on October 23.
The Pink Sisters member was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in May 2022, and discovered it had spread to her brain last May - just seven months after she renewed her wedding vows to husband Carl Peers.
Seamstress Flick was known for her quick-witted dry humour, eye-catching outfits and rebellious outlook on life. This attitude coloured her blog on cancer, My Traitorous T*t, which covered her struggles against the illness.
The ceremony, at The Old Chapel, in Etruria, relayed tales of Flick's love of motorcycling, legal career and 'ruinously drunk' escapades. The service was conducted by friend and celebrant Pam Mawston.
