New town centre bar given a country and western theme

DRINKERS in Newcastle can enjoy a taste of country and western with the launch of an American-themed bar.

Honky-tonk watering hole Tiny Tennessee has filled the boots of the Stock by Feasted restaurant, which shut suddenly in November.

New owner Richard Lewis hopes to win revellers over with an authentic slice of Americana.

Richard, aged 38, said: "The music selection has been made with customers in mind. And I'm always happy to change things up to what people like. If we get an older crowd in, we might have the classics like Johnny Cash.

"For younger people, we might have some stuff on for more of a party atmosphere. We're not strictly country; we have a bit of blues, classic rock, stuff like that.
