Debrah says Valiants need to dig deep to make impact
The Sentinel
|September 02, 2025
JESSE Debrah knows he and his Port Vale teammates are the only men who can turn around their fortunes around.

The defender wants to start winning the league games and accepts he too has missed opportunities to score this season and the lack of goals is not just the fault of the strikers.
But he knows it’s not a nice place to be sitting, second bottom of the League One table with no wins from six matches.
"When you don’t win games of football you are frustrated," he told Port Vale TV after the 1-0 loss at Reading on Saturday.
"It hurts because we weren't at our best. It was a gritty, tight game. And to come off the wrong end of that, it hurts.
"We had chances and we didn’t take them. They had a few chances and they took one and win the game.
"It is frustrating. This league is very unforgiving. You can play all the good football you want and have opposition players and managers coming up to you and saying how good you were but they walk away with the points and that’s all that matters at the end of the day.
"We need to start putting those positive performances into wins and we need to start winning games of football."
