Cleaver murder bid man has 'not told mum about attack'

A BON Pan Asian worker who tried to murder his boss with a meat cleaver after being sacked has been sentenced to an indefinite hospital order.

Annan Shi had only been working at the restaurant at The Hive in Hanley's Potteries Centre for about six weeks when his manager told him he was to terminate his employment because of him 'lacking skills and performance as a floor manager.

But Shi went to the kitchen, picked up a cleaver and took it back into the dining area where he attacked his victim, hitting him several times with the weapon.
