Tchamadeu says alliance with Manhoef can help to push Potters forward in the Championship

- Peter Smith

CITY'S BROTHERS IN ARMS

JUNIOR Tchamadeu is hoping a burgeoning relationship with Million Manhoef on and off the pitch can be a driving force for Stoke City this season.

The pair have played together 39 times now down the right for Stoke and have been increasingly linking up in the final third, with 21-year-old right-back Tchamadeu encouraged to support, underlap and overlap when he gets the chance.

Tchamadeu knows it's taken time to build up an understanding but is sure it's getting more instinctive and a healthy rapport between the two should help it continue to get better.

He said ahead of Saturday's Championship return at home against Birmingham: "Me and Milly have got a good relationship on and off the pitch to be fair. He's a great character and I feel like we get on. The relationship off the pitch definitely helps on it.
