Children 'forced to walk in the middle of road' by flooding

SCHOOLCHILDREN are being put 'at risk' because persistent flooding forces them to 'walk in the middle of the road'

A section of The Avenue in Kidsgrove regularly puddles with water during bad weather.

It means pedestrians have to walk in the road and cars have to dodge out of the way.

The water has also caused damage to nearby properties as it pools on the side of the road and streams down.

The issue was first raised by Kidsgrove resident David Barber more than five years ago, although the problem has existed for much longer.
