Town hall to become aparthotel with cafe and office space
ONE of Stoke-on-Trent's most imposing buildings is set to be turned back into a hotel.
Plans are being drawn up to transform Hanley Town Hall into an aparthotel with a café, wedding venue, community space and co-working office.
The news comes after the Grade II-listed Albion Square building which dates back to 1869 - was sold to Heronceau Properties Ltd. It had been put up for sale with a price tag of £500,000 in 2022 but had struggled to attract a buyer.
But Simon Edwards, director of Heronceau Properties, spotted its potential and was handed the keys last week.
The sale price has not been disclosed.
