Caverswall take over at the top following Wood Lane's defeat

WOOD Lane seconds were knocked off the top of NSSCL Division Six following their defeat at Nantwich.

The high-fliers managed to progress to 179-7 from their 40 overs.
Ben Forster top-scored with 40, with Pail Mason (33no) and Lewis Gibson (230 also in decent form. Tom Newton and Elliot Bailey helped themselves to a couple of wickets apiece.
Robert Howell then fronted the Dabbers' bid to knock off the runs.
Howell compiled 64, which contained 11 fours, to form the backbone of Nantwich's run chase.
And with Cameron Langdale (32), Josh Bailey (20) and Martin Hughes (18) also playing their part, Nantwich sealed a three-wicket win.
Ashley Guest, Alfie Brown and Gibson all claimed two wickets for Wood Lane.
Caverswall are the new table-toppers after a five-wicket success at home against third-placed Newcastle & Hartshill 3rd XI.
S Shakir's 4-24, allied to double strikes from D Tooth and D Halahakone, ensured that Castle were limited to 127 all out.
S Murali (26), G Bailey (24), M Smith (18) and D Forrester (17) made the most progress with the bat.
