Senior players Gallagher and Gibson to miss part of Potters' pre-season because of injury woes
MARK Robins admitted to his frustration as he confirmed that Ben Gibson and Sam Gallagher are missing at least a chunk of preseason due to injury.
Centre-half Gibson and forward Gallagher had battles with injuries respectively last season which limited them to 24 and 22 league appearances respectively and Robins spoke at the end of term about the importance of getting good work into them in the summer.
But they have not been able to join in training properly so far and sat out of a first friendly, behind closed doors against Shrewsbury Town. The manager doesn't put timescales on returns but clearly wants the pair back double smart.
