|October 14, 2025
A BAND is fundraising to help get a young female boxing star to the Netherlands for the 'opportunity of a lifetime'.
Ultraviolet, who were nominated for Best Covers Band of 2025 in the Staffordshire Music Awards, are hoping to raise £5,000 to help 19-year-old city boxer Jasmine Heath through her first training session with former world title holder, Lucia Rijker.
Once dubbed by the press as “The Most Dangerous Woman in the World,” Lucia is a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
She also appeared in the Hollywood boxing film Million Dollar Baby.
Now aged 57, she invited Jas to train with her exclusively in Amsterdam.
Ultraviolet singer Becca Marshall first met Jas after becoming a ring girl at her first fight and now sponsors her through the band.
She said: “She's brilliant! I now ring-girl at all of her events, and sponsor her on her journey to becoming pro.
