NHS worker' s wrangle over removal cost
ANGRY Claire Willatt has been left hundreds of pounds out of pocket - after paying a rival firm to empty the skip left on her drive for 60 days.
The 57-year-old NHS worker paid £264 to Staffordshire Waste Recycling Centre to hire the skip for a week. It was delivered on April 10 - and was still in her Penkhull front garden nearly two months later.
Now she has forked out another £359 to have it emptied.
Mrs Willatt says the experience has been a 'living nightmare' - and is now threatening court action to get her £623 back.
"It's been absolutely awful - just awful," she said. "And to the people who laugh or say that I'm kicking up a fuss over nothing, let's see how you feel when you have a great big dirty skip dumped outside your house for ages. It's not just having the skip there which has made it so bad.
