Service wants 'kind and compassionate people' for roles
AMBULANCE service bosses have launched a new year recruitment drive for volunteer community first responders.
The volunteer CFRs are members of the public who have received medical training from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
They then respond - when available and in their own time without pay - to emergency 999 calls in both urban and rural areas.
They provide vital help in life-threatening situations, especially in some of the most serious cases such as a cardiac arrest and trauma, when every second counts.
