£500k has helped out 10,000 lonely people

Projects launched over last three years to address issue

MORE than 10,000 lonely people in North Staffordshire have benefited from projects launched over the last three years thanks to a £500,000 funding boost.

NHS Charities Together awarded the cash to UHΝΜ Charity in 2022 as part of its Community Partnerships Grants programme.

Fourteen community groups and projects from the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System (ICS) received grant funding to help address the issue of loneliness and social isolation.

The grant has funded initiatives including:
