World is like a global village, says designer Rahul Mishra

Just like a filmmaker hopes to release a movie across the world, renowned Indian couturier Rahul Mishra says when Indian artisans want to be loved for their work everywhere and not just in their home country.

Mishra, who has often referred to his designs as 'karmaabhoomi', presented his collection 'The Silk Route' under his label 'AFW' at the recently concluded FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI in Mumbai.

The Delhi-based designer, who has dressed stars both at home and abroad including Sonam Kapoor, Blackpink rapper Lisa, and actor Zendaya, said Indian fashion is at a point where it's no longer about "proving anything to anybody".
