Record Rabi procurement this year, 19 LMT against target of 14 LMT: Dy CM KV Singh Deo

THE State has registered a record Rabi procurement of 19 LMT against the target set for 14 LMT, said Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo.

The Dy. CM said this while taking a review of the Rabi procurement status of 2024-25 during an inter-ministerial meeting held at Lok Seva Bhawan here today. Currently, the Rabi paddy procurement process is going on. Today is the last date for procurement. While the target set for Rabi procurement this year is 14 LMT, about 19 LMT of paddy has been procured till today, he informed. Last year, 12 LMT of paddy was procured, while this season, a record amount of paddy has been procured, said Singh Deo stating that Odisha is the only state to provide Rs 3100 per quintal for both MSP and input assistance to farmers u
