Odisha sets ₹27 L Cr export target by 2047, eyes global growth push

IN a bold move to position itself as a key player in India’s global trade ambitions, the Odisha government has set an ambitious export target of Rs 27 lakh crore by 2047, aiming to contribute 5 per cent to the nation’s total exports.

The roadmap was outlined during a high-level Consultant Management Committee (CMC) meeting chaired by Development Commissioner Anu Garg at Lok Seva Bhawan here on Monday. The meeting focused on aligning the upcoming Economic Survey 2025-26 with the long-term visions of Viksit Odisha 2036 and Viksit Bharat 2047, placing export-led growth and employment generation at the center of Odisha’s economic strategy.
