ODISHA has once again emerged as a frontrunner in rural infrastructure development, securing the top position in the country for Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) project execution during the financial year 2024-25.
This achievement was highlighted during the first meeting of the High Power Committee (HPC) on RIDF for FY 2025-26, held on Thursday at Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. The meeting was chaired by Development Commissioner Anu Garg, who reviewed ongoing projects, provided key insights, and called for accelerating implementation to meet deadlines.
With robust support from NABARD and the State Government, Odisha received a concessional loan of Rs. 3,836.34 crore to bolster rural infrastructure initiatives.
The meeting saw participation from Principal Secretary of the Finance Department, Saswata Mishra, senior officials from various departments, and NABARD's Chief General Manager along with his team.
