Dhenkanal to become solar energy rich district of Odisha, asserts CM Majhi

LAYING stress on making solar energy as the main energy source for Odisha in coming days, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today said Dhenkanal would soon become state's solar energy rich district.
The CM said this while inaugurating various industrial projects worth over Rs. 50,000 crore in Dhenkanal earlier today.
He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth Rs. 188 crore, and laid the foundation stone for the construction of Baji Rout Sports Complex at a cost of Rs. 120 crore.
It is worth noting that 12 projects worth Rs. 112 crore were inaugurated today, while the foundation stones of 10 projects worth Rs. 76 crore were laid today.
"The industrial projects worth over Rs 50,000 crore in Dhenkanal have added another stream to the development trend of Odisha today. Out of the new industries that were launched today, Rs 30,000 crore is only related to the solar energy industry," the CM said while making a commitment to make Dhenkanal district a solar energy rich district of Odisha and a leading district of the state.
Today, due to the launch of industrial projects worth more than Rs. 50,000 crores, there is a possibility of about 26,400 direct and indirect employment opportunities, he added.
