CWC: 17 river gauge stations currently above warning level

SEVENTEEN river gauge stations across India are currently above the warning level, with four in severe flood condition where water levels are at or above the danger mark but still below the historical peak, according to the Central Water Commission (CWC).

According to the latest flood bulletin issued on Wednesday, there are no stations currently in an “extreme flood situation”, where the previous highest flood level (HFL) is equalled or exceeded.
