Joy Dacoron is standing up for the future of women's volleyball.
The 5-foot-11 middle blocker of the Petro Gazz Angels is the commissioner for volleyball of the National Developmental Sports League, which held its first finals yesterday. She immediately flew to Cebu for her first volleyball camp there. She hopes that this will be the start of a long, thorough campaign to build a network of platforms for young girls to have a career in volleyball, aside from regular tournaments.
