Vietnam’s VinFast gears up to be top BEV brand by 2026

Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) company VinFast is aiming to become the leading provider of battery electric vehicles (BEV) in the Philippines by 2026.
"Our first milestone for VinFast in the Philippines is we want to be the number one BEV brand by next year," VinFast Southeast Asia CEO Antonio Zara said during the launch of VinFast Philippines' nationwide EV design voting competition.
He said the number of BEVs that VinFast would need to sell to achieve the goal would depend on the country's EV penetration rate.
