Up to 2 cyclones expected this month

At least one to two typhoons similar in strength to tropical cyclone Kristine may be expected this month, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
"This December, it is possible that one to two typhoons may enter or develop inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR)," PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda said yesterday.
At least 16 typhoons entered PAR this year where Kristine was considered the deadliest.
