SM Investments income rises by 30% in 9 months

SM Investments Corp. (SMIC), the Sy-led conglomerate, reported a consolidated net income of P55.9 billion from January to September, up 30 percent from the same period a year ago.
The company raked in consolidated revenues of P440.4 billion, up 15 percent.
The resurgence of mall activities and consumer spending helped sustain growth, said SMIC president and CEO Frederic DyBuncio.
“We look forward to the fourth quarter, while continuing to monitor the impact of food prices and interest rates on consumer wallets,” he said.
