Ruffa Gutierrez 'Very Happy' Over Daughters' Growing Relationship With Their Dad Yilmaz Bektas

To recall, Ruffa and Yilmaz wed in the Philippines in March 2003, separated in 2007 and got annulled in 2012. It's public knowledge what led to the controversial breakdown of their marriage.

But the current state of their relationship has reached the level wherein they now have open and regular communication. This can be attributed to her daughters Venice and Lorin's emotional reunion with their dad in Istanbul in 2022 or about 15 years since they last saw each other.

"It's been two years since they reconnected with their father and I'm very happy that they are more at ease, you know. Parang yung pain na nakita ko na nasa heart nila for how many years nawala. And I'm just so happy for my daughters because they now have a personal relationship with their dad," the actress and former beauty queen shared.

She continued, "Kami rin ni Yilmaz, okay din kami. Minsan nagbibiruan kami and nagpapadala na rin siya ng (financial support)."

Ruffa didn't go into detail but stressed "ang importante nagbibigay na."

"So imagine, may allowance sila from me, from my mom (Annabelle Rama) and her dad," she said of her daughters who are completing their college degrees — Marketing for Lorin and Political Science for Venice — in the US.

"So, happy kami lahat... Oo, regular ang communication."
