Pentagon chief's visit shows Phl in US radar

The visit of United States Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in the country this week is an indication that the Philippines is in the US radar screen, the Philippines' top diplomat in Washington said yesterday.
In an interview on dzBB, Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez said Hegseth will meet with President Marcos and Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. during his visit in Manila on March 28 to 29.
He said the visit is also an indication of the Philippines' importance for the US and the defense alliance.
