Ombudsman Dismisses Charges vs DOJ Chief

The Office of the Ombudsman has dismissed the complaints filed by Sen. Imee Marcos against Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla and several others over the alleged illegal arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte in March.
Remulla confirmed the dismissal when asked if the ombudsman had issued a resolution on the matter.
Ahead of the confirmation of Remulla's clearance, Marcos yesterday filed a motion for reconsideration with the ombudsman.
She argued that her timely motion for reconsideration keeps the charges pending, making Remulla ineligible for ombudsman clearance.
