Nanette Inventor: How the comedic icon is reinventing herself for the TikTok generation
The Philippine Star
|March 25, 2025
Comedian, songstress and actress Nanette Inventor continues to evolve, embracing the digital world by joining the wave of streaming artists on TikTok.
Through her account "ENTERNETTE," she goes live every Tuesday and Thursday at 5 p.m., consistently engaging audiences for an hour or more. While she has always been known for her wit and humor, the new venture has given her a fresh way to connect with both long-time fans and younger audiences, who are only now discovering her work.
To Nanette's surprise, she has gained a significant following among Gen Z viewers, thanks to her role in the trending season one of the series "Mutya ng Section E," which stars rising actor Andres Muhlach. The show, which became a viral sensation, introduced Nanette to a new generation of viewers, who were captivated by her comedic timing and undeniable screen presence.
Many young audiences reach out to her during her live sessions, often asking for advice on love and relationships.
"I get a lot of questions from young audiences about romance, heartbreak and navigating relationships. It's amusing because I never expected to be a love guru, but I do my best to share my thoughts. It makes me feel good because I'm able to connect with them, and in a way, it reminds me of how my own journey in love and life has unfolded," she shared.
"Of course, I also hear from older fans who still remember me as Doña Buding from my 'Penthouse Live' days! It's such a thrill to know they still recall that after all these years—it was six years of weekly shows that rated really well," she added.
