MICO CHUA CAST AS AGA MUHLACH'S ADIE IN 'BAGETS: THE MUSICAL'

Viva Artists Agency talent and former ‘Born to Be a Star’ contender Mico Hendrix Chua is set to essay the character of boy-next-door Adie in the screen-to-stage adaptation of ‘Bagets.’

The role was initially portrayed by Aga Muhlach in Maryo J. de los Reyes’ 1984 movie with the same title, which also stars William Martinez, Herbert Bautista, Raymond Lauchengco and JC Bonnin.

Viva Artists Agency talent and former “Born to Be a Star” contender Mico Hendrix Chua will be interpreting the character of boy-next-door Adie in the screen-to-stage adaptation of “Bagets.”

The role was originally essayed by Aga Muhlach in Maryo J. de los Reyes’ 1984 movie with the same title, which also stars William Martinez, Herbert Bautista, Raymond Lauchengco and JC Bonnin.

The now-classic flick follows the journey of five teenage boys as they navigate adolescence, while dealing with family and friendship issues, as well as matters of the heart.

Scheduled to open on Jan. 23, 2026 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) PLUS’ “Bagets: The Musical” is produced by Newport World Resorts and is presented by VIVA Communications, Inc. and The Philippine STAR in partnership with Sun Life Philippines.
