Meralco partners with ERC, QC for RE drive
The Philippine Star
|August 06, 2025
Pangilinan-led Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) has entered into a tripartite deal with the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) and the Quezon City government to accelerate green power adoption.
The agreement will facilitate the development of public-private models to support the government's target of integrating more renewable energy (RE) sources in the country's power mix.
"One of our core priorities in Quezon City has always been to make energy cleaner, more reliable and more accessible not just for our whole operations but for households and businesses in our city," Mayor Joy Belmonte said.
"Through this agreement with ERC and Meralco, we're putting systems in place, clear processes, better coordination and stronger support so that more stakeholders can take part in our clean energy transition," she added.
