The Philippine Star
|June 26, 2025
Property giant Megaworld Corp. is teaming up with hospitality group Accor to boost its growing hotel portfolio.
As a partner of Megaworld, Accor will extend its expertise in the operation of select hotel brands under Megaworld Hotels & Resorts.
The collaboration will bring in Accor's standards in guest services as well as in terms of the reservation system.
"We are honored to collaborate with a top-notch hospitality group like Accor, which has established global industry leadership for its diverse and extensive portfolio, strong business performance, strategic growth initiatives and sustainability practices," Megaworld Hotels & Resorts managing director Cleofe Albiso said.
The partnership is also expected to open up select properties' inclusion in Accor's loyalty program, enabling hotel guests to earn points and other perks when booking in these hotel properties.
Megaworld said Belmont Hotel Mactan would be the first property to transition into Mercure Mactan Cebu as a franchise within the 30-hectare The Mactan Newtown township in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu this year.
Mercure is one of the more than 40 hotel brands currently under Accor's portfolio.
