Lopez industrial park picks Globe as internet provider

The Zobel and Lopez clans have signed a partnership that would see Globe Telecom Inc. provide fiber connectivity to about 150 locators operating in the First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP).

Globe has entered into a contract with the First Philippine Holdings Corp. (FPH) to set up high-speed internet within the FPIP in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

The memorandum of agreement signed by Globe and FPH ensures that FPIP would be provided with enterprise-grade connectivity for its more than 150 locators and over 80,000 employees.

FPIP has its own shared dark fiber facility that was established in 2023. Globe will use this asset to deploy its services quicker, enabling a cost-efficient approach to setting up access.
