The recent SEABA U16 Cup opened a fresh chapter in head coach LA Tenorio's basketball career.
Gilas project director Alfrancis Chua called it a "new beginning." It was inevitable that Tenorio would turn to coaching as the next step in his basketball journey. From when LA started playing the game at six years old, he was destined for greatness. He traversed the campuses of Don Bosco, San Beda and Ateneo to emerge as a stellar point guard. LA played the entire five years of his UAAP senior eligibility, taking the Blue Eagles to a championship in three Finals, and resisted the temptation of turning pro until he graduated with a Liberal Arts degree in 2006.
