The onscreen partnership of Jak Roberto and Kylie Padilla started in the sports-drama series "Bolera" and carries on in the GMA Afternoon Prime family drama "My Father's Wife." The latter's recent episodes show that Jak's character Gerald and Kylie's Gina have successfully dealt with the challenges of entering into a marriage of convenience, and true romance blossoms.

"Si Kylie kasi nakapa-collaborative (she's very collaborative)," said Jak of fellow Kapuso artist, who learned firsthand and for the first time about each other's work approaches and preparations on the set of "Bolera" back in 2022. "So, meron siyang mga inputs na kung papaano namin aatakihin yung eksena (she shares her own inputs on how to approach a scene), and with the help of our acting coach on set. Nahihimay namin ng maayos ang bawat eksena (we are able to discuss the scene in detail). Nagagawa namin ng maayos (we are able to do it well)."

Since he has collaborated with her before, Jak has found that sense of comfortability with her in acting.

"Wala na (there are no adjustments). Parang yun na ang bonus kapag naka-trabaho mo na (that appears to be the bonus part when you've worked with someone previously) kasi most of the scenes before in 'Bolera,' kami rin ang laging magkasama."
