Floods, landslides displace thousands in Davao

At least 552 families or 2,212 residents of Davao de Oro, Davao Occidental and Davao Oriental have been affected by floods and landslides following heavy rainfall.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said 446 of the affected families or 1,800 people remained in seven evacuation centers yesterday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a flood advisory in Davao, Northern Mindanao and Caraga at 6 a.m.
yesterday, saying the shear line was affecting the eastern portion of Mindanao.
