PCG: Over one ton recovered so far

As of 4 p.m. on Sunday, 1,013 one-kilo packs of shabu with an estimated street value of P6.888 billion had been fished out of waters mostly off the two provinces, PDEA director general Isagani Nerez said.

The Philippine Coast Guard has dispatched its BRP Cabra and two other high-speed response boats to intensify maritime patrol operations.

The PCG is also conducting aerial drone surveillance to locate and recover more sacks of contraband that may still be adrift.
