After the sad reality check in the FIBA Asia Cup came the good news that will help Gilas Pilipinas get an upgrade moving forward.

- OLMIN LEYBA

Fil-Am prospect Quentin Millora-Brown, a 25-year-old, 6-foot-10 stud, is now eligible to play as a local for the Philippine quintet vying in international tournaments like the SEA Games, Asian Games or the FIBA windows.

The SBP got the official confirmation from the FIBA's management and administration platform (MAP) Friday night, ticking off one major item in the wish list of both the federation and coach Tim Cone.

"Oh, man. What can you say when you get a talented athletic, young, 6-foot-10 player?" Cone said yesterday in an interview on Power and Play on One PH.
