Discayas' sworn affidavit mere scrap of paper – House exec

House committee on infrastructure head Rep. Terry Ridon yesterday dismissed as a mere "scrap of paper" the sworn affidavit of alleged whistleblower Pacifico "Curlee" Discaya linking several lawmakers and government officials to anomalies in flood control projects.

The Bicol Saro party-list representative said the affidavit was void after it was discovered during the hearing that the notarization of their affidavit had expired in 2024.
The said document named Reps. Roman Romulo, Patrick Michael Vargas, Arjo Atayde, Nicanor Briones, Marcelino Teodoro, Florida Robes and Benjamin Agarao Jr., along with other lawmakers from Quezon, Aklan, Mindoro and Zamboanga districts, as allegedly involved in the flood control project anomaly.
