CIBI inks deal with Korean firms to boost cross-border credit access

CIBI Information Inc. has partnered with South Korean financial services firms to establish a cross-border credit linkage system.

The agreement with JB Financial Group and NICE Information Service was formalized at a signing ceremony held in Seoul, Korea. The partnership enables Filipinos and Koreans to use their home country's credit data to access financial services abroad.

"By providing access to essential solutions like credit and background reference checks, we are enhancing and supporting cross-border financial access and empowerment of both Filipino and Korean nationals," CIBI Information president and CEO Pia Arellano said.

The initiative aims to eliminate financial barriers for individuals navigating banking systems outside their home countries, providing a more inclusive and seamless financial experience.
